About The Ionian Wood Fired Kitchen & Farmshop

The moment plates arrive at the table, the distinct aroma of wood-fired cooking sets the scene for a dining experience that is both rustic and comforting. The Ionian Wood Fired Kitchen & Farmshop crafts each item with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients, evident in the vibrant flavors and textures that come through. From lightly charred breads to tender meat options, the menu offers a concise but satisfying range of choices, appealing to those seeking quick yet thoughtful fast food. While the pace is brisk, there is an underlying attention to detail that elevates the overall experience beyond typical fast food expectations.

Chatter and clinking cutlery fill the air, mixing easily with glimpses into the kitchen’s hectic rhythm. The Ionian Wood Fired Kitchen & Farmshop restaurant layout encourages a casual, communal atmosphere, where diners glance at photos of signature dishes displayed on digital menus or walls, helping them decide on a sometimes limited but well-executed offering. Service tends to be efficient, though in busier moments timing can feel slightly rushed, as the focus remains on throughput rather than leisurely dining. Nevertheless, the balance of speed and warmth tends to satisfy those who want a relaxed yet purposeful meal without prolonged wait times.

Looking over various reviews, a pattern emerges highlighting the consistent quality of the wood-fired cooking style, with many praising how the fire’s subtle influence enhances the natural flavors without overpowering them. The Ionian Wood Fired Kitchen & Farmshop’s menu may not boast an extensive list—some might find it too narrow—but its simplicity allows the core elements to shine. This approach defines the restaurant as a dependable spot for those craving fresh fast food that feels handcrafted, well-portioned, and visually appealing, as seen in shared photos from visitors who appreciate its authentic, no-frills charm.

Authentic Greek dishes served fresh from the wood fired oven. The interior has a real rustic artisan feel with a range of produce, drinks (beers) and ice creams. In addition to handmade crafted items such as necklaces, hats, scarfs etc. For me, the food tasted authentic and was similar to food I've eaten while on holiday on Greek islands. The espresso smelt great, but not as strong as I would have liked. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall a great place to stop for lunch and maybe pick something unique and hand made.

Just stopped bye whilst out and about. Totally unplanned stop but decided to have lunch at this out of the way place, turned out to be a great stop off and the best pizza I've had for a very long time, cooked on a wood fired pizza oven, a very unusual rural setting for a pizza and Mediterranean restaurant/cafe It's a very laid back joint and food comes served in a box with wooden cutlery etc very eco based place if you're looking to keep Greta happy, can't fault the food, service and setting..Highly recommend man...lol. The guy that posted 4 days ago giving 1 star ago should open his eyes, the big building down the track on the left is nothing to do with it. One thing could do with improving, the toilet needs a hygiene sign telling people to leave it clean!!!! Cleanliness is next to Godliness!!!!...Posh folk with Bentleys expecting silver cutlery will not be happy though..

The Ionian catered for my daughters Mamma Mia hen weekend on 22nd and 23rd of April. We had 16 hens so we ordered pizza on Friday and Greek food on Saturday. The food was fabulous. Georgie did a great job getting our orders right and the chefs cooked great food.Costa then delivered to us on time and on both nights. I would highly recommend this restaurant and it is so rare to get what you ordered and from people who genuinely care about what they do. Costa always had a big smile on his face! Thank you for making our celebrations so special.

Really good pizza, the shop now takes card payment, so we'll be visiting a lot more :) They also have great food staters, garlic bread, olives, etc The shop also sells earrings, picture frames, from local creators as well as vegetables and eggs, also fresh and local. Lots of outdoor seating as well as a few indoor tables. Well worth a visit if you're passing on the A38 Still a great place and even more desserts too! Still as awesome as ever!

Had a fantastic time here, came with the family (extended and all), and had a delicious meal, good variety of choices, and plenty of space outside if the weather permits! Service was fantastic as they dealt with our many orders. The farm shop has amazing local produce and is well worth the money, and you get to support local business! Would highly recommend the gyros in all of its forms! The photo is of a field behind the outside seating, stunning views all around, nothing better than the countryside!

I don’t think I would have stopped here as the signage isn’t great and it doesn’t look much from the road. However, it was recommended, so I dropped in for lunch. The place is a mix of a shop and restaurant in what appears to be a custom built building with a brick oven. The food is so good, the best lamb I have tasted. Considering the flock is only a field away, it hasn’t travelled far. Staff are very friendly and the service is great, definitely a place you should visit.

The cutest of shacks on a farm, with the most delicious and comforting food! Our eyes were bigger than our bellies, but it’s worth it to have leftovers to look forward to the next day. Pizzas and gyros, an awesome combo! The Semplice lamb burger is the best

Really great food and service. Ordered ahead, but was running 15 minutes late. Called to tell them and when we eventually arrived the food came straight out, fresh and hot The food was totally delicious. Love their ever changing menus. We took a selection of Greek cakes home. All were yummy. Such a quirky spot. Will definitely be back.
